Uzbeks in Thailand 2026:Visa Required Before Travel + TDAC

Visa rules, TDAC arrival card, customs, currency, vaccines and embassy contacts for Uzbek travellers heading to Thailand in 2026.

Visa Status: Visa Required (e-Visa)

Entry Requirements

If you hold a passport from Uzbekistan, you must submit a Thailand Digital Arrival Card (TDAC) before entering the Kingdom of Thailand. The TDAC replaced the paper-based TM6 form and is now required for all international arrivals — regardless of your visa status or purpose of travel.

As an Uzbek citizen, you need a Thai visa before travel (apply through the Thai e-Visa system). The TDAC is filed separately and does not replace the visa. Your passport must be valid for at least 6 months from your date of entry. The TDAC collects your personal details, travel information, and accommodation address in Thailand.

⚠️ Common Issue for Uzbek Passport Holders

Uzbek name transliteration — this is the most common reason for TDAC rejections from Uzbek travelers. Our system automatically detects and corrects these issues before submission, ensuring your arrival card is accepted without delays at immigration.

How to Apply

  1. 1Have your Uzbekistan passport ready with at least 6 months validity from your planned entry date.
  2. 2Complete the online form on TDAC.info with your personal details, travel itinerary, and accommodation address in Thailand.
  3. 3Our team reviews your submission for errors and you receive your approved QR code via email before your departure.
  4. 4Present your QR code at Thai immigration upon arrival — no paper forms needed, skip the queues.

Visa Status

Uzbek citizens: Visa Required (e-Visa). Apply for the visa on the Thai e-Visa portal before you book non-refundable travel; the TDAC is filed separately.

Visa Duration for Uzbek Citizens

Uzbek passport holders are not visa-exempt in Thailand. Visa required from 15 Sep 2026 — apply via the Thai e-Visa system before travel. A Tourist Visa can be extended at local Immigration offices.

  • Name transliteration must match passport MRZ
Announced 17 August 2026 - phased rollout, not yet live

Auto Gates at Suvarnabhumi: Uzbekistan Is Not on the Announced List

On 17 August 2026 Thailand approved in principle the addition of 31 more passports to the automated arrival gates at Bangkok Suvarnabhumi Airport, joining Thailand, Singapore and Hong Kong. Uzbekistan is not among them, so arrival is at a manned immigration counter as before. The Thailand Digital Arrival Card remains mandatory either way and has to be filed before you travel.

The 90-Second Version

Uzbekistanis are a new and growing market — Bangkok for shopping and medical care, Phuket and Pattaya in winter — with Uzbekistan Airways flying Tashkent–Bangkok non-stop in about six hours. Visa for Uzbek passports: required before travel from 15 September 2026 (Thai e-Visa); there is no visa-free entry. Flight time: about 6 hours non-stop from Uzbekistan. Where you land: Suvarnabhumi (BKK), Bangkok.

What Immigration Checks on Uzbek Passports

  • e-Visa before departure. Since 15 September 2026 Uzbekistani passport holders need a visa before travel. Apply for a Tourist Visa on Thailand's e-Visa portal; the approval arrives as a PDF and is checked against your passport at the desk. Airlines refuse boarding without it.
  • Return ticket and hotel. Both are asked of Uzbekistani arrivals fairly consistently; keep them on your phone.
  • Funds. 10,000 THB per person (20,000 per family) may be requested; a card balance is accepted.
  • Passport validity. Six months from entry.

Your Name on the TDAC

Uzbekistani passports are printed in Latin script and the MRZ follows it, dropping the apostrophe used in Uzbek spelling — G'ulom O'rinov is GULOM ORINOV. Copy the MRZ exactly onto the TDAC; the patronymic (-ovich/-qizi) is not in the MRZ and should not be entered. The passport number is two letters followed by seven digits.

Staying Longer

A single-entry Tourist Visa allows a stay of up to 60 days and can be extended once by 30 days at an Immigration office for 1,900 THB. The Royal Thai Embassy in Moscow is the consular post that covers Uzbekistan.

Practical Notes for Uzbek Travellers

  • Cards. Uzbekistani Visa and Mastercard cards work abroad; Uzcard/Humo domestic cards do not. Every Thai ATM charges a flat 220 THB per withdrawal.
  • Halal and prayer. Prayer rooms at Suvarnabhumi; halal dining around Sukhumvit Soi 3–5 and Pratunam in Bangkok.
  • Time zone. Thailand is two hours ahead of Uzbekistan.
