Entry Requirements
If you hold a passport from Azerbaijan, you must submit a Thailand Digital Arrival Card (TDAC) before entering the Kingdom of Thailand. The TDAC replaced the paper-based TM6 form and is now required for all international arrivals — regardless of your visa status or purpose of travel.
As an Azerbaijani citizen, you can get a Visa on Arrival at the airport counter before immigration. You still file the TDAC before you land. Your passport must be valid for at least 6 months from your date of entry. The TDAC collects your personal details, travel information, and accommodation address in Thailand.
⚠️ Common Issue for Azerbaijani Passport Holders
Azerbaijani name transliteration — this is the most common reason for TDAC rejections from Azerbaijani travelers. Our system automatically detects and corrects these issues before submission, ensuring your arrival card is accepted without delays at immigration.
How to Apply
- 1Have your Azerbaijan passport ready with at least 6 months validity from your planned entry date.
- 2Complete the online form on TDAC.info with your personal details, travel itinerary, and accommodation address in Thailand.
- 3Our team reviews your submission for errors and you receive your approved QR code via email before your departure.
- 4Present your QR code at Thai immigration upon arrival — no paper forms needed, skip the queues.
Visa Status

Visa Duration for Azerbaijani Citizens

Common TDAC Mistakes by Azerbaijani Travelers
- VOA requires 2,000 THB cash at airport
- Name transliteration must match passport
Auto Gates at Suvarnabhumi: Azerbaijan Is Not on the Announced List
On 17 August 2026 Thailand approved in principle the addition of 31 more passports to the automated arrival gates at Bangkok Suvarnabhumi Airport, joining Thailand, Singapore and Hong Kong. Azerbaijan is not among them, so arrival is at a manned immigration counter as before. The Thailand Digital Arrival Card remains mandatory either way and has to be filed before you travel.

What Immigration Checks on Azerbaijani Passports
- Visa on Arrival counter. Bring your passport (six months' validity), the completed VoA form, one passport photo, a return or onward ticket dated within 15 days and a hotel confirmation; the 2,000 THB fee is paid in Thai baht cash only.
- Proof of funds. 10,000 THB per person or 20,000 THB per family may be requested.
- TDAC before departure. File the arrival card in advance; the VoA officer scans the QR code together with the VoA form.
- Allow time. The VoA queue at Suvarnabhumi can take an hour at peak arrival times; do not book a tight domestic connection to Phuket.

Practical Notes for Azerbaijani Travellers
- Money. Azerbaijani Visa and Mastercard cards work in Thailand; the manat is not exchanged there, so carry US dollars or euros for the VoA fee and the first day. Every Thai ATM charges a flat 220 THB per withdrawal.
- Time zone. Thailand is three hours ahead of Baku.
- Help in Thailand. Azerbaijan has no embassy in Bangkok; keep digital copies of your passport, VoA stamp and TDAC QR code.
