Visa Status: Visa Exempt (30 Days)

Entry Requirements

If you hold a passport from Georgia, you must submit a Thailand Digital Arrival Card (TDAC) before entering the Kingdom of Thailand. The TDAC replaced the paper-based TM6 form and is now required for all international arrivals — regardless of your visa status or purpose of travel.

As a Georgian citizen, you are eligible for visa exempt (30 days) entry. Your passport must be valid for at least 6 months from your date of entry. The TDAC collects your personal details, travel information, and accommodation address in Thailand.

⚠️ Common Issue for Georgian Passport Holders

Georgian name transliteration — this is the most common reason for TDAC rejections from Georgian travelers. Our system automatically detects and corrects these issues before submission, ensuring your arrival card is accepted without delays at immigration.

How to Apply

  1. 1Have your Georgia passport ready with at least 6 months validity from your planned entry date.
  2. 2Complete the online form on TDAC.info with your personal details, travel itinerary, and accommodation address in Thailand.
  3. 3Our team reviews your submission for errors and you receive your approved QR code via email before your departure.
  4. 4Present your QR code at Thai immigration upon arrival — no paper forms needed, skip the queues.

Visa Status

Georgian citizens: Visa Exempt (30 Days). No visa application required for tourist stays within the allowed period.

Visa Duration for Georgian Citizens

Georgian passport holders can stay in Thailand for 30 days from 15 Sep 2026 under the current visa exemption. Extensions are available at local Immigration offices.

  • Georgian name transliteration must match passport Latin text
Announced 17 August 2026 - phased rollout, not yet live

Auto Gates at Suvarnabhumi: Georgia Is Not on the Announced List

On 17 August 2026 Thailand approved in principle the addition of 31 more passports to the automated arrival gates at Bangkok Suvarnabhumi Airport, joining Thailand, Singapore and Hong Kong. Georgia is not among them, so arrival is at a manned immigration counter as before. The Thailand Digital Arrival Card remains mandatory either way and has to be filed before you travel.

The 90-Second Version

Georgians reach Thailand through Istanbul, Dubai or Doha in 11–13 hours; there is no non-stop from Tbilisi. Most travel between November and March for Phuket, Pattaya and Koh Samui, and a growing number combine Bangkok shopping with dental and medical appointments. Visa-free days for Georgian passports: 30 days, tourism and short business visits. Where you land: Suvarnabhumi (BKK), Bangkok.

What Immigration Checks on Georgian Passports

  • Return ticket and hotel. Both are asked of Georgian arrivals fairly consistently; keep the confirmations on your phone.
  • Funds. 10,000 THB per person or 20,000 THB per family may be requested.
  • Passport validity. Six months from entry; a Georgian ID card is not accepted for entry, only the passport.
  • Previous stays. Frequent visitors are asked about earlier trips; a visa-exempt entry is for tourism, and repeated back-to-back stays can be refused at the desk.

Your Name on the TDAC

Georgian passports print a Latin transliteration of the Georgian name and the MRZ uses it — გიორგი is GIORGI, -შვილი surnames end in -SHVILI, -ძე in -DZE. Copy the MRZ exactly onto the TDAC; there is no patronymic to worry about, and the first-name field takes only the given name. The passport number is two letters followed by seven digits.

Staying Longer Than 30 days

One 30-day extension is available at any Immigration office for 1,900 THB. For a stay beyond the exemption apply for a Tourist Visa before travel; the Royal Thai Embassy in Moscow is the consular post that covers Georgia.

Practical Notes for Georgian Travellers

  • Money. Georgian Visa and Mastercard cards work in Thailand; the lari is not exchanged there, so bring US dollars or euros for the first day. Every Thai ATM charges a flat 220 THB per withdrawal.
  • Time zone. Thailand is three hours ahead of Tbilisi.
  • Help in Thailand. Georgia has no embassy in Bangkok; keep scanned copies of your passport and entry stamp on your phone.
