Entry Requirements
If you hold a passport from Mexico, you must submit a Thailand Digital Arrival Card (TDAC) before entering the Kingdom of Thailand. The TDAC replaced the paper-based TM6 form and is now required for all international arrivals — regardless of your visa status or purpose of travel.
As a Mexican citizen, you are eligible for visa required (e-visa) entry. Your passport must be valid for at least 6 months from your date of entry. The TDAC collects your personal details, travel information, and accommodation address in Thailand.

Auto Gates at Suvarnabhumi: Mexico Is Not on the Announced List
On 17 August 2026 Thailand approved in principle the addition of 31 more passports to the automated arrival gates at Bangkok Suvarnabhumi Airport, joining Thailand, Singapore and Hong Kong. Mexico is not among them, so arrival is at a manned immigration counter as before. The Thailand Digital Arrival Card remains mandatory either way and has to be filed before you travel.

What Immigration Checks on Mexican Passports
- Onward ticket. Checked by the airline at departure on one-way tickets; a flight out within your permitted stay satisfies both airline and Thai immigration.
- Passport validity. Six months from entry; Mexican passports are issued for three, six or ten years — short-validity holders are the ones caught out.
- First-night address. Required on the TDAC; write the hotel name and street.

Practical Notes for Mexican Travellers
- Money. Mexican Visa/Mastercard cards work in Thai ATMs; each withdrawal carries a flat 220 THB machine fee plus your bank's foreign charge. Pesos are not exchangeable in Thailand — bring US dollars if you want cash to change.
- Arrival day. With a 12–13-hour time difference you land two calendar days after a morning departure on some routings; use the local Thai date on your ticket for the TDAC.
- Help in Thailand. The Mexican Embassy is in Bangkok's Sathorn district.
