Jordanians in Thailand 2026:30 Days, TDAC & Four-Part Names

Visa rules, TDAC arrival card, customs, currency, vaccines and embassy contacts for Jordanian travellers heading to Thailand in 2026.

Visa Status: Visa Exempt (30 Days)

Entry Requirements

If you hold a passport from Jordan, you must submit a Thailand Digital Arrival Card (TDAC) before entering the Kingdom of Thailand. The TDAC replaced the paper-based TM6 form and is now required for all international arrivals — regardless of your visa status or purpose of travel.

As a Jordanian citizen, you are eligible for visa exempt (30 days) entry. Your passport must be valid for at least 6 months from your date of entry. The TDAC collects your personal details, travel information, and accommodation address in Thailand.

⚠️ Common Issue for Jordanian Passport Holders

Name not matching the MRZ — this is the most common reason for TDAC rejections from Jordanian travelers. Our system automatically detects and corrects these issues before submission, ensuring your arrival card is accepted without delays at immigration.

How to Apply

  1. 1Have your Jordan passport ready with at least 6 months validity from your planned entry date.
  2. 2Complete the online form on TDAC.info with your personal details, travel itinerary, and accommodation address in Thailand.
  3. 3Our team reviews your submission for errors and you receive your approved QR code via email before your departure.
  4. 4Present your QR code at Thai immigration upon arrival — no paper forms needed, skip the queues.

Visa Status

Jordanian citizens: Visa Exempt (30 Days). No visa application required for tourist stays within the allowed period.

Visa Duration for Jordanian Citizens

Jordanian passport holders can stay in Thailand for 30 days from 15 Sep 2026 under the current visa exemption. Extensions are available at local Immigration offices.

Flights to Thailand from Jordan

  • Amman (AMM) → Bangkok (via connection)

Common TDAC Mistakes by Jordanian Travelers

  • Jordanian ordinary passport holders are visa-exempt — 30 days from 15 September 2026, 60 days for arrivals up to 14 September 2026
  • Name must match passport MRZ exactly
  • A return or onward ticket within your 30-day stay is recommended
Announced 17 August 2026 - phased rollout, not yet live

Auto Gates at Suvarnabhumi: Jordan Is Not on the Announced List

On 17 August 2026 Thailand approved in principle the addition of 31 more passports to the automated arrival gates at Bangkok Suvarnabhumi Airport, joining Thailand, Singapore and Hong Kong. Jordan is not among them, so arrival is at a manned immigration counter as before. The Thailand Digital Arrival Card remains mandatory either way and has to be filed before you travel.

The 90-Second Version

Jordanians travel to Thailand for honeymoons, family holidays and medical care; there is no non-stop from Amman, so most connect through Doha, Dubai or Abu Dhabi and arrive about nine hours after leaving Queen Alia airport. Peak months are the summer break and the Eid holidays. Visa-free days for Jordanian passports: 30 days, tourism and short business visits. Where you land: Suvarnabhumi (BKK), Bangkok.

What Immigration Checks on Jordanian Passports

  • Return ticket and hotel. Both are asked of Jordanian arrivals fairly consistently; keep the confirmations on your phone, not only in email.
  • Funds. 10,000 THB per person or 20,000 THB per family may be requested — cash or a bank statement on your phone both work.
  • Passport validity. Six months from entry.
  • Medical trips. If you travel for treatment, carry the hospital appointment letter; it answers the officer's questions about the purpose and length of the stay.

Your Name on the TDAC

Jordanian passports carry four names; the MRZ puts the family name in the surname segment and the given, father's and grandfather's names in the given-names segment. Enter that split exactly on the TDAC and keep the same spelling on the airline booking — the Latin spelling of the same Arabic name differs between passports, so always copy yours, not a relative's. The passport number is one letter followed by six to eight digits, depending on the series.

Staying Longer Than 30 days

One 30-day extension is available at any Immigration office for 1,900 THB; a hospital letter supports a medical extension for longer treatment. The Royal Thai Embassy in Amman issues visas for stays beyond the exemption.

Practical Notes for Jordanian Travellers

  • Cards and cash. Jordanian Visa and Mastercard cards work in Thailand once international use is enabled; not every exchange counter accepts Jordanian dinars, so carry US dollars for the first days. Every Thai ATM charges a flat 220 THB per withdrawal.
  • Halal food. Easy to find in Bangkok (Sukhumvit Soi 3–5, Ramkhamhaeng) and in Phuket's Patong; most hotels can confirm halal kitchens on request.
  • Time zone. Thailand is four hours ahead of Amman.
  • Help in Thailand. The Jordanian Embassy is in Bangkok.
