Israelis in Thailand 2026:30 Days, TDAC & Passport Spelling

Visa rules, TDAC arrival card, customs, currency, vaccines and embassy contacts for Israeli travellers heading to Thailand in 2026.

Visa Status: Visa Exempt (30 Days)

Entry Requirements

If you hold a passport from Israel, you must submit a Thailand Digital Arrival Card (TDAC) before entering the Kingdom of Thailand. The TDAC replaced the paper-based TM6 form and is now required for all international arrivals — regardless of your visa status or purpose of travel.

As an Israeli citizen, you are eligible for visa exempt (30 days) entry. Your passport must be valid for at least 6 months from your date of entry. The TDAC collects your personal details, travel information, and accommodation address in Thailand.

⚠️ Common Issue for Israeli Passport Holders

Passport validity check — this is the most common reason for TDAC rejections from Israeli travelers. Our system automatically detects and corrects these issues before submission, ensuring your arrival card is accepted without delays at immigration.

How to Apply

  1. 1Have your Israel passport ready with at least 6 months validity from your planned entry date.
  2. 2Complete the online form on TDAC.info with your personal details, travel itinerary, and accommodation address in Thailand.
  3. 3Our team reviews your submission for errors and you receive your approved QR code via email before your departure.
  4. 4Present your QR code at Thai immigration upon arrival — no paper forms needed, skip the queues.

Visa Status

Israeli citizens: Visa Exempt (30 Days). No visa application required for tourist stays within the allowed period.

Visa Duration for Israeli Citizens

Israeli passport holders can stay in Thailand for 30 days from 15 Sep 2026 under the current visa exemption. Extensions are available at local Immigration offices.

Auto Gates at Suvarnabhumi: Israel Is Not on the Announced List

On 17 August 2026 Thailand approved in principle the addition of 31 more passports to the automated arrival gates at Bangkok Suvarnabhumi Airport, joining Thailand, Singapore and Hong Kong. Israel is not among them, so arrival is at a manned immigration counter as before. The Thailand Digital Arrival Card remains mandatory either way and has to be filed before you travel.

The 90-Second Version

Israelis are among Thailand's most habitual visitors — post-army travellers on the islands and in Pai, families in the school holidays, and a year-round flow to Bangkok. El Al flies Tel Aviv–Bangkok non-stop in about ten hours. Visa-free days for Israeli passports: 30 days, tourism and short business visits. Flight time: about 10 hours non-stop from Israel. Where you land: Suvarnabhumi (BKK), Bangkok.

What Immigration Checks on Israeli Passports

  • Additional questions. Israeli passport holders have faced extra security questions at Thai immigration since late 2023; allow time and answer travel-purpose questions plainly.
  • Onward ticket and funds. Long-stay travellers on one-way tickets are asked for both; 10,000 THB per person (20,000 per family) is the figure.
  • Passport validity. Six months from entry; Israeli passports are five- or ten-year documents.

Your Name on the TDAC

Israeli passports print a Latin transliteration of the Hebrew name and the MRZ uses it; it may differ from how you spell your name elsewhere (Yitzhak vs Itzhak) — copy the MRZ exactly onto the TDAC. Holders of a second passport should fly, file the TDAC and clear immigration on the same one. The passport number is eight or nine digits.

Staying Longer Than 30 days

One 30-day extension is available at any Immigration office for 1,900 THB; for the classic post-army trip, a Tourist Visa from the Royal Thai Embassy in Tel Aviv avoids questions about repeated visa-exempt entries.

Practical Notes for Israeli Travellers

  • Cards. Israeli Visa and Mastercard cards work widely; every Thai ATM charges a flat 220 THB per withdrawal.
  • Time zone. Thailand is five hours ahead of Israel in winter, four in summer.
  • Help in Thailand. The Israeli Embassy is on Wireless Road in Bangkok.

At the Airport

Israeli passport holders may be asked additional security questions on arrival — standard since late 2023. Allow extra time and answer travel-purpose questions plainly.
