TDAC Update 2026.10.00: Your Confirmation Email Now Shows E-Gate Eligibility

TDAC 2026.10.00 adds an e-gate notice to your confirmation email. See what the green ABC label and manual processing mean before you land.

Arrival Updates

Thailand's Immigration Bureau released version 2026.10.00 of the Thailand Digital Arrival Card (TDAC) system on 15 October 2026. The most visible change for travellers is in the email you receive after you submit or update your TDAC: it now tells you whether you may use the Automated Border Control (ABC) gates, also called e-gates, or whether you should go to a regular immigration counter.

What it means for your arrival

  • •Check the email before you fly. The label takes the guesswork out of the arrivals hall. If your email says "ELIGIBLE", head for the e-gates; if it says "MANUAL PROCESSING", join the counter queue.
  • •Updating your TDAC triggers a new email. If you amend your flight, dates or accommodation, look at the newest email, not an older one.
  • •Families and groups: the user guide does not say how the result is shown for a group submission, so check the result for each traveller before you fly.
  • •E-gate access depends on the airport and on your nationality; see our earlier report on Suvarnabhumi e-gates opening to 33 nationalities.

If you file through TDAC.info's assisted filing, we forward the confirmation email from the TDAC system to you, including the new e-gate notice, so you can see your result before departure.

What changed

The official TDAC user guide (version 1.21, written for application version 2026.10.00) describes the new notice:

  • •"AUTOMATED BORDER CONTROL - ELIGIBLE" shown in green: you can use the ABC gate.
  • •"IMMIGRATION COUNTER - MANUAL PROCESSING": you cannot use the ABC gate and should go to the regular immigration counter.

The same email still confirms your submission and contains your TDAC details and QR code. The official release notes for version 2026.10.00, dated 15 October 2026, list four changes: an eligibility check for the automated passport-control channel, a new email layout showing that result, support for a "QR Code with Checkmark" in the email, and sending the e-gate result to the THIM app.

What hasn't changed

  • •The TDAC is still required for foreign arrivals by air, land and sea, and is submitted within the three days before arrival.
  • •The questions on the form are the same: passport details, flight, accommodation and purpose of the trip.
  • •Immigration officers still make the final decision, and they can direct you to a counter.
